Best and cheapest: 5-inch phone with 2GB RAM, 32GB memory at R 21900

The Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex Mobiles have launched India’s best and cheapest phone yesterday.

At an event in Mumbai yesterday, the actor-director Farhan Akhtar launched this 5-incher named Aqua i7. The i7 priced at Rs. 21900 is the only phone from Indian manufacturer sporting a 2 GB RAM to support its processor for all the fast action one can expect from a phone.

The Aqua i7 is a MediaTek MT6589 Turbo processor (that also powers the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 at a speed of 1.5 GHz) and clocked at 1.5 GHz. Canvas 4 is powered by a 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6589 processo only and looking at the specs the Intex clearly seems to the winner.

The main attraction of this full HD phone is its 2 GB RAM. Galaxy S4, HTC One, LG Optimus G Pro, NokiaLumia 1020, Sony Xperia Z Ultra have 2 GB RAM under their hood. Galaxy S4 on an octa core processor while the HTC One runs on a quad-core Snapdragon processor. Have a look at the prices, the Intex one is priced at almost half of the two.

To make the deal more irresistible the company will offer free accessories worth Rs. 5,500 with the Intex i7. You will get a flip cover, screen guard, limited edition key chain and a pen personally signed by Farhan.

Other specs include the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, dual sim support and a full HD IPS display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.

This dual Sim phone also  sports a 13 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel secondary camera. The Intex phone sports 32 GB of internal memory, out of which 24.8 GB is user memory.

Galaxy S4 has a 16 GB memory though you can expand it using a micro SD card, the Canvas 4 from Micromax contains a 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB.

The i7 is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and will come for retail on the 9th of September.

We have already spotted the phone ready for sale at Snapdeal.com store at a price of Rs. 20900. We think, you need to wait for the phone to arrive on pre-order, as this deal does not offer you the company promised freebies.
